Waynesboro's Sheryl Quick Retires, New Leadership Announced

Waynesboro's Sheryl Quick Retires, New Leadership Announced

After 35 years of dedicated service to the Waynesboro community, Sheryl Quick has officially retired from Queensborough National Bank & Trust, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and customer care.

Sheryl began her banking career with Queensborough in 1990. She joined as Assistant Branch Manager and is retiring in 2025 as Market President of the Waynesboro area. She helped guide the branch through decades of growth and transformation, including its transition from the Bank of Waynesboro to the Queensborough name in the early 2000s.

“This bank was my life for 35 years,” said Quick, reflecting on her time at Queensborough. “It’s been more than a job — it’s been a part of who I am, and I’ve truly loved serving this community.”

As Sheryl steps into retirement, Jennifer Posey has been named Branch Manager of the Waynesboro location. Jennifer has worked alongside Sheryl for the past two decades, starting at Queensborough in 2005 as a Loan Officer and earning a promotion to Assistant Branch Manager just one year later.

“Sheryl has been such a strong mentor and example to me,” said Posey. “She taught me the importance of teamwork and community, and I plan to carry that legacy forward every day.” Jennifer, a member of the Waynesboro Exchange Club since 2003, brings strong community ties and a clear vision for continuing the customer-focused tradition Sheryl helped establish.

Also joining the Waynesboro team is Bentley Murdock, who now serves as the branch’s Business Development Officer. Bentley has been with Queensborough for two and a half years and brings a wealth of experience from his previous leadership roles in the Wrens branch. He joined the Waynesboro team in April and has already begun connecting with local customers and businesses.

“In her last month at the bank, Sheryl took time to introduce me to many of her longtime customers,” said Murdock. “I could tell how much they respected and trusted her, and I’m honored to follow in her footsteps and help continue those relationships.”

With Jennifer leading the branch and Bentley focused on expanding local business relationships, Queensborough’s Waynesboro location is poised for a strong future built on trusted relationships and community service.
