IQ UNIVERSITY

Queensborough’s iQ University (iQU) is helping to build the foundation for a thriving community through financial literacy. The goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to improve their financial health.

The program is made up of courses that can be tailored to meet the needs of companies, churches, families, organizations and individuals. This service is offered at no charge and there is no obligation for employees or members to bank with Queensborough National Bank. The program is part of Queensborough’s commitment to strengthen financial stability of the communities that it serves.

Mark Phillips joined Queensborough National Bank & Trust in 2020 working on the retail banking side at the West Augusta and Martinez branches and is now working in our QWorks/Financial Literacy department as the QWorks Benefits & Literacy Officer. Mark, a dual citizen of both the U.S. and The Netherlands, was born in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and grew up in Houston, Texas. He spent 19 years in Europe and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Cross-cultural studies in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Mark worked in international wholesale media sales for 20 years with a U.K based company and some of his business partners included Amazon, Melissa & Doug, DreamWorks, Sony Music and Lifeway Christian Resources.

Mark is married to Amy and they have an expanded family of 5 amazing kids. Mark enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time outdoors biking and walking.
