Blume’s Banking For a Cure

Blume’s Banking For a Cure

We’re highlighting one of our amazing Coastal region employees, Patrick Blume, Vice President and Business Banker, as he competes for Blood Cancer United’s Visionaries of the Year competition, a campaign aimed at raising funds for blood cancer patients.

Blood Cancer United, formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, believes that all blood cancer patients deserve longer, fuller lives. Through Visionaries of the Year, the organization has invested more than $2 billion in groundbreaking research supporting many of today's most innovative approaches to treatment—helping those with blood cancer not only survive but also thrive. This annual competition showcases community leaders across the region who champion lifesaving advancements and help bring awareness to the challenges patients and families face. Every contribution helps move the mission forward and brings hope to those impacted by blood cancers.

Blume’s passion for this cause is deeply personal, after the loss of his niece to blood cancer, Blume has been even more motivated to raise awareness and find a cure. His team “Blume’s Banking For a Cure” is working to raise funds that directly support blood cancer research and patient services.

Blume has dedicated his professional career and personal commitment to serving others. A native of Martinez, Georgia, Blume began his banking journey in 2005. Today, he leads his team with integrity, passion, and a service‑first mindset rooted in relationship banking.

Queensborough celebrates Blume’s leadership, generosity, and commitment to making a difference beyond banking.
