Walter is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Banking School and Commercial Lending School. He began his areer at C&S Bank in Augusta in 1976. Since then he has worked at serveral area banks, including Georgia State Bank, Regions Bank and Georgia Bank & Trust. Walter is an Augusta native and has lived in Augusta his whole life. He and his wife of 38 years have two daughters and four grandchildren. A member of the Martinez-Evans Rotary Club and Champions Retreat Golf Club, Walter enjoys playing golf and spending time at the lake.
