Garrett Named Rural Financial Literacy Program Coordinator

Merritt Garrett has been named At Work Banking and Financial Literacy Program Coordinator of Queensborough's rural region.

Merritt previously held the position as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Operations Officer and the Operations Department of Queensborough in Louisville.  She has over 30 years of experience in the role of Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Property Manager and Personal Assistant.  She has worked in various industries such as Valuation, Assets and Estate Planning, Commercial Real Estate Investment and Management, Fast Casual Dining Franchisee Management, Library Systems and Operations as well as Single and Multi-Family Residential Construction/Remodeling.

 

Additionally, Merritt is a photographer and mixed-media artist.  She has over 20 years working in photography, acrylics, oils, resins and welding/forging/metal works.  Self-taught, her clients include The Coca~Cola Company, Fox Films, Georgia C.A.S.A. and private collectors.  She is the current President of the Arts Guild of Jefferson County and the Director and Curator of Gallery 1923 located in the Queensborough Corporate Offices lobby, housing 25 plus artists in Louisville’s first permanent art gallery.
